Welcome to the website of the National Union of Journalists' Disabled Members Council.
The council exists, in the first place, to protect and extend the interests of disabled members of the NUJ, also to serve as a reference hub on disability access legislation to the main union body. A second interest is to develop journalism as a career option among disabled people and to encourage disabled journalists. A third interest is the media representation of disability in wider society and how this changes over time.
